Father Simon Ellis SSC (Vicar)

Originally from the Fens in Cambridgeshire, Fr Simon became Vicar of St Laurence in 2001. He is married to Kate and they have two children. Ordained in 1997, he served a curacy in the parishes of Holy Trinity Knowle, and All Hallows, Easton in the Diocese of Bristol. Fr Simon has a background in teaching Science with a BSc degree from Cardiff University, before training for the priesthood at St. Stephen's House Oxford. He has a Theology degree from Oxford, and a Masters degree from Bristol University. A Plymouth Argyle Fan, His particular interests include 5-A-Side football and Amphibians! Fr Simon is also chaplain to the local Air Training Corps 2195 Squadron and the Royal British Legion.
Father Christopher Kinch SSC (Curate)

Originally from Reading in Berkshire, Fr Christopher joined the parish as Curate in 2005. He is married to Suk. Fr Christopher has worked in a variety of jobs whilst supporting himself through his studies, including work as a Care Assistant and as a laborer on building sites. He also spent a year working as a Pastoral Assistant in the Parish of St Martin, Fenny Stratford in Milton Keynes. He read a theology degree at King Alfred's College Winchester, and trained for the priesthood at St Stephen's House Oxford. A West Ham fan, Fr Christopher's particular interests include films, reading, paintball, speedway and playing guitar. Fr Christopher is also Force Chaplain to the Police in Long Eaton.
Fr Simon's Day Off is Thursday and Fr Christopher's Day off is Saturday.

Father David Tudor SSC (Honorary Assistant Priest)

Fr David joined the parish in 2005 following retirement as vicar of St George in the Meadow, Nottingham. Ordained in 1973, Fr David trained for the priesthood at Sarum theological college, and has served curacies in Plymouth and Reddish, before serving as the incumbent of parishes in Hamer, Goldenhill, Meir and Nottingham. He has also served in hospital chaplaincy, both at the Sheffield University Hospital and at the Nottingham City Hospital. A qualified tram driver, Fr David is company chaplain to the staff of Nottingham City Transport and Nottingham Express Transit.
