St Laurence in Long Eaton Millennium Festival

Join us to celebrate one thousand years of St Laurence’s Church in Long Eaton. During this week of celebrations the church will be open daily. A art exhibition celebrating local talent will be open to the public daily in Church.

On Saturday 9th August at 10:30 join Father Max to ‘Beat the Bounds’ as we walk the parish boundary.

Sunday is the focal point of our Patronal Celebrations as we welcome the Bishop of Oswestry to preside and preach at our Festal Eucharist followed by a community lunch at 10:00am.

At 3pm we our celebrations continue in our churchyard as we come together for ‘Hymns and Pimms’. We are greatly looking forward to being joined by the Bishop of Derby to celebrate all that God is doing in Long Eaton.

Our week of festivities is concluded with Evensong and Benediction at 6pm as we are joined by the much loved sometime vicar of Long Eaton, Bishop Roger Jupp SSC.

All are welcome to join us as we come together to celebrate, whether you are a lifelong member of the Church family or it is your first time visiting us.
